Engineering students are always searching for student design projects to work on during their higher class levels. Some of them are corporately useful gadgets and research, some are entirely useless. Some are competitions.
Simple enough, really. Send some of our ideas their way for project submission
and watch the madness ensue. Or would it grind the science community to a halt in silly puns?

I'll sign up now! 30 months left of the PhD funding - Still time to steer it towards bluetooth enabled, genetically engineered custard! |

Original idea was mostly for the undergrad design projects; but hey, Jin, pick one. |

I think this idea is great. To think of an idea is the hard part to make it a working model well thats kind of hard to but who cares. |

[RS] - I have actually had a serious eye on a couple of the
more gadgety type ones for what you describe. I wouldn't
do anything without contacting the original author,
though, which presents a problem with some of the
longabsent halfbakers. |

I'm not sure how much of a good idea it is to use somebody
else's idea for this, though. It does raise a few issues that
could be avoided by using one's own ideas, even if your
heart is set on bringing //bluetooth enabled, genetically
engineered custard// to the world. |

I may have stayed in school if this were the case. |

... by fake IT conference that makes money by having vain people who answer spam pay to have their "non-reviewed" papers published, a fact conveniently dropped from much of the reporting about this. |
