The phrase 'crumpled heap' comes to mind.

Halfbaked Ads

Pitch our collective zaniness to the ad guys for fun and profit

The whazzup guys made a small fortune off of their totally inane ad, which had nothing to do with the product being sold. It was simply memorable.

I suspect we can do better. Somewhere in this pile, there's a Superbowl commercial waiting to happen.

I propose the 'Miniature Golf Version Of X' series of commercials that get progressively more ludicrous, each with the same giant windmill smack in the middle of the sport. It could be a Bud Lite commercial.

'Circus Cannon Jousting' should be a Dew commercial.

'Fun for the bald and overweight' could be a great mental image in uh...wait.... let's not go there.

got my vote.....whatever shall we do with the Verizon "Can you hear me now" guy? .....haven't we come up with some torture devices to take care of that annoying man? Sprint could kill him off in a commercial....many would cheer......

Flocking road cones nuzzle up against the new 2003 _(insert_car_name)_, showing that even non-humans appreciate it's styling.

I don't know whether I'm a realist or a pessimist, but what stops an ad agency just taking the odd idea from the halfbakery.

Some of us would think it was an extraordinary coincidence. Some would immediately assume the worst. The truth is that we'd never know. By the time an idea has been scripted and adapted for film it has changed enough from original concept to lose some of the details, so the advert would rarely be an exact match, anyway.

[st3f] I once heard pessimism defined as realism enhanced by experience. I agree with you on both counts.

RS: wrong category - belongs in the Halfbakery section.

[blissmiss]: That would be a Trojans commercial, not a car commercial.

[st3f], in the middle of the Notre Dame / USC game yesterday they showed an AllState Insurance commercial that I could swear came from my Rice-Krispy Treat idea...
RayfordSteele, Dec 01 2002

Oh yeah! I remember that post now... finally just saw the commercial.
