(?) For [mephista] http://www.amadirec...es/color/viking.jpg
Though I'll bet this ain't exactly what you had in mind. Bonus: it comes with it's own blonde hair. [half, May 12 2002, last modified Oct 04 2004]

If you drilled holes in a conventional helmet, through which you could thread your own hair, it would be even more safe, because you'd almost never get it off.

does anyone remember Max Wall? - now his style would suit rbl. Ivanidea, I picture as a St Trinian girl with plaits. I'd just like the viking helmet - did that come with hair at all?

[Mephista]: I have actually seen motorcyclists wearing the horned Viking-style helmets on the street. More than once. Each time they were bearded and riding some sort of swoopy hard-tailed Harley-Davidson, of course.

I made myself one of these when I was young and stupid. It was an old open face helmet painted like a big pink balding head complete with wrinkles and long white tonsure, false ears with big gold hoops in them.
I later found out that the paint I used had destroyed any protective fetures of the helmet.
Now I am old and stupid the idea of a St. Trinians version is quite appealing. Hmmmmm....
