Pencils with Halfbakery printed on the side with the graphite hardness of HB, AKA, NO. 2. Maybe even croissants or fishbones inscribed on the sides.

It's not hard to find pencils that say HB on them.

Encourage new ideas with these. Heck, Halfbakery stationery too.

       Hmm.
bristolz, Aug 22 2003

Maybe get a random mix of taglines in each order. +
Worldgineer, Aug 22 2003

I was afraid if I suggested those construction pencils no one would like the whole idea. But yes I like them for flatness for more lines and ability not to roll.
sartep, Aug 22 2003

Quite amazed on how quick this idea took off. I would buy pencils and stationary. 'Cause I use pencils to halfbake most of my ideas.

Also, I love the smell of fresh pencils.
sartep, Aug 23 2003

would they actually draw though? a non drawing pencil would not stray too far from your desk and I would not want to sharpen these down at all. nice idea!
po, Aug 23 2003

       // double-ended eraser pencil //

I had one of those, from a trade show. I broke it in half and it had lead in it.
waugsqueke, Aug 23 2003

the rubber should be in the middle.
po, Aug 23 2003

You could also shoot for the high end with a desk pen-pencil set. I'd pay up to $40 for nicely-weighted one.

Perhaps a multi-tip style, with one barrell filled with invisible ink....

Or there's the solar-powered electro-mechanical by some obfuscated means option...

       Oooh... these are nifty. <link>
RayfordSteele, Aug 24 2003

How about a pencil with real lead in it?
DO NOT POKE IN MOUTH.
FarmerJohn, Aug 24 2003

Lead filled bread loaf for you, [sarty]. + It's just a good idea. The pencil could begin very simply as there are a million add-ons that would come later, rubber grips, novelty erasers, stress head trolls, etc.
k_sra, Aug 24 2003

       //Halfbakery stationary too.// //. I would buy pencils and stationary//

Did you all agree to spell "stationery" incorrectly while I wasn't looking? I won't point it out if that's the case.
Helium, Aug 24 2003

No, but *aeroplane* is the de facto standard for uh, aeroplane.
thumbwax, Aug 24 2003

It was intended to be spelled that way due to the fact that I didn't check my spelling.
sartep, Aug 25 2003

[thumb] I'm sticking with airplane just like airbics, airnautics and airsol.
FarmerJohn, Aug 25 2003

       [mfd] Now baked.
Gulherme, Aug 25 2003

Could we not have tag lines that go through the pencil (like words in Blackpool rock) so that you get to read it when you sharpen the pencil? Maybe just 2 or 3 tag lines per pencil.
squeak, Aug 25 2003

       Yaaaaay, my idea is baked.
sartep, Aug 25 2003

       <sugarlump?> well done.
po, Aug 25 2003

Am I sugarlump? You talkin' ta me?
sartep, Aug 26 2003

Congratulations [sartrep].. it's pretty impressive to come up with an idea that Jutta likes so much that she goes and bakes it.
madradish, Aug 26 2003

Thank you sarty and jutta for my very own limited edition school bus yellow HB pencil! (pending shipping)
k_sra, Aug 26 2003

the packaging is fantastic, thanks jutta.
po, Sep 13 2003

       is that a royal "ours"
po, Sep 13 2003

[jutta], that is by far the coolest pencil mailer I have ever seen! Kudos! For the rest of you, see [link] and drool.
k_sra, Sep 18 2003

       where's the monkey?
po, Sep 18 2003

The boss was in, I couldn't get the monkey... : (
k_sra, Sep 18 2003

oops - I just mailed mine off in an envelope. Let's see if it survives the journey...

Of course not, b_p, recipes are marked for deletion.
waugsqueke, Oct 23 2003

I think the FBI got my pen..

Apparently the padded bag I sent it in arrived ripped open and empty :(
madradish, Nov 06 2003

Well maybe the FBI didn't want my pen after all. It arrived eventually.. just very very late.

Perhaps Australia isn't such a trusted ally after all??
madradish, Nov 17 2003

I'm sure the question of why someone is sending one pencil perhaps got other people thinking. some pencils look like explosives.
sartep, Dec 04 2003

especially the wrapping, eh? missed it? silly boy!
po, Dec 04 2003

       you get yours, UB?
po, Apr 19 2004

       gosh, I didn't.
jonthegeologist, Apr 20 2004

It says there are on [jutta]'s linked page.
Worldgineer, Apr 20 2004

Pencils! I believe I may have gotten the last few from [jutta] a couple years ago.

Were I to order a batch would any of you like any?
whatrock, Jun 17 2023

Ah!I have one but more would be good!
pocmloc, Jun 17 2023

Did anyone check if [jutta] still wants to trade writing implements for HB pencils? Seems like that may be the only way to score.
Sgt Teacup, Jun 17 2023

I have not. Suppose I ought to first.

On a side note is it possible to rig a bit of code to notify you if someone mentions your name? Like if the term [jutta] is used does her email get a little flag?
whatrock, Jun 17 2023

And so I have checked and have been given the green light, so the order has been made. Hopefully the cedar tree has already been planted.
whatrock, Jun 18 2023

Got my pencils in the post. Many thanks &c. &c.

Now... to sharpen them, or put them away as unused treasures? OK obviously I am not going to sharpen any of them. To put them away as unused treasures in their lovely wee sachet, or individually?
pocmloc, Jul 14 2023

Perhaps sharpen one and keep it and a pad of paper in the loo? You never know when inspiration will strike.
