Gym Treadmill Racetrack Animation

Every other TV screen shows a racetrack with the positions of those participating in a treadmill race.

My gym like most has rows of treadmills with TV screens for the people to watch the news while they're running.

The idea is to have treadmill races with animations showing the positions of the runners on an animated track on every other screen instead of the news shows nobody's watching anyway.

If you wanted to participate, you'd put in your name, real or not, and start running. You're avatar would be shown on a track running against others who chose to participate.

So the race wouldn't have to start at the same time, you'd simply be given your position in the race had you started at the same time by using your current speed.

Nice. You could have an entire virtual triathlon, competing against other people from around the world.

Yea, once you go digital you can do lots of fun stuff with it.

+ Well yes, I like this. My question is, do I really have to run, or could my avatar just do it for me?

       Who would know right?

There's definitely a market for a comfy armchair with little motorised running feet sticking out the front, that you can lounge on in front of your treadmill watching the treadmill screen, while the motorised feet do the running for you.
