Get together a group of musicians. Modify the instruments for maximum portability (i.e. add straps to everything that doesn't have a case ready, and even those that do). Have an amp with multiple plug-ins.
Take your group of guerilla rockers to a place where music would not be welcome, or at least
unexpected. Such as a cafeteria (that's where I thought this up), a huge corporate meeting room, a bank lobby, a mall, a large electronics or sporting goods store--a place where a lot of people congregate.
Set up. Play until the spotter signals. Get the hell out of Dodge.
I want to hear about this on the news. I want people like this to be accepted as part of the culture, like graffiti artists. I want to be serenaded with live rock music at lunch.

Isnt this an avril lavigne film clip? |

With a flash mob audience, of course. |

Although I'm in favour of live music (being a performer myself), I have to bone this. If I go somewhere which doesn't have music, it's usually because I don't want to hear it just then. Having music (or TV, or pub quizzes) thrust upon them contributes to people's general opposition to them. |

I saw an Alanis Morissette guerilla concert on TV a while back where they decended unannounced on some pedestrian mall. However, they did not appear to be unwelcome in this case. |
I'd like to see guerilla concerts at the front of movie theatres before a movie rather than the stupid ads. Even bad music could be more fun that what they have. |

Oh, yes. This would be a welcome addition to Board Meetings and Business Tactic Seminars and Young Executive Training Forums. You cannot start diffusing business boredom soon enough. + |

Mr. Burns, you're in Royal Joke? Another Detroiter? Geesh, we're everywhere... |

Gorilla music is just pretty much, "Oog. Ugh. Aaac! Oog oog Aaaaac!!" |
I've wanted to do this with a band I'm with. Pull into a parking lot and just start jamming and pull out when the 50 come. |
This would be a lot of fun in a Department of Motor Vehicles building. |
A variation would be to do this is a crowded street (only standing instruments to be played). Either a huge number of you would simply join in when you came within a certain boundary and played until you left it, or a smaller number just keep turning when they get to the end. Music erupting out of the crowd. |

I'd like to see a whole lot more guerrilla culture...expect the unexpected. |

Coming soon: Ninja Muzak. |
