Basicaly, my idea is for an alarm clock that, instead of turning off its alarm for five or however-many minutes, calls you a "lazy bastard"(with a censor or alternate word for the "sensitive") and begins ranting about its job being to wake you up in the morning and other such things in an increasingly loud voice when you hit the big "Snooze" button. To turn it off, you have to type in a password, to ensure that you really are awake.

This is my first contribution here, by the way.

see a photo of who is insulting you and hear their message over and over. There are many such products. [dentworth, Jul 19 2005]

Can I get one that can not be broken by a fourteen year old?

Internal pressure sensor indicates excessive force applied to the snooze button....
"Ow! That really hurt you misreable scum. Go ahead and look in the mirror ... You know you're going to need extra time to deal with that ugliness...

"Does it really matter if you don't go in to work today? I mean, in the grand scale you're a spec on a dot in our galaxy. Take another fifteen minutes of sleep -- you'll really enjoy it, plus you'll have a fresher perspective on things."

That is what I really want to hear when I hit snooze.

I dunno. Looking through all the "alarm clock snooze" ideas, this seems to have been haflbaked atleast, well, uhm...for 5 minutes or so.

Can't find one taking this form [bliss]. Gets a bun from me. I'd like it to have a huuuge library of good insults, if it got repetative or stopped making me laugh I would eventually break it.

       Definite Bun.
Though one of these in my bedroom would become the subject of percussion maintenance very, very quickly....
