For those of you who haven't heard, there is this hip site called GroupHug that allows people to confess their darkest secrets to the unwashed masses.
This has proved a gold mine of arm-chair psychoanalysis, and it's easy to burn away hours guessing at the ailments of these beleaguered netziens.
How
about a website which allows people like myself to indulge in group schadenfreude.
It would work something like this:
1. Joe User finds an interesting confession.
2. Joe User gets the confession number and goes to the website.
3. Joe User submits the number, along with his own analysis.
4. Other users submit their own analysis, and can vote on the analysis of others.

AnalyzeThis.com
http://www.halfbake...a/AnalyzeThis_2ecom Not a million miles away, except that Jo/eUser is seeing what people say about him/her. But note link on page to Baked site. [DrCurry, Oct 04 2004]

I'll bite, but unlike the Halfbakery, original posters (or posers, as the case may be) should be unable to delete their posts, even if they are disappointed by what is printed about them. Also, hot posts should expire automatically once they've cooled -- after all, most folks will be willing to offer help (if you'll act in the next 15 minutes) but not honor your confession forever. |

Maybe it's just me, but I feel the site as you portray it would become a crucible of meanspirited hate posters. A few interested analysts would occasionally drop in but would be quickly outpoured by the massive pissers already hooked on the contest. |

I can't believe that anyone would want to spend all that time reading people talking about their opinions about random stuff and voting on it. Oh...wait a minute... |
