 to inform a car or a pedestrian that you give them the road

Flashing headlights often leads to the confuse if you invite a turning car and a pedestrian crossing the road or ask them to wait. Additional green “invitation” lights may inform a car or a pedestrian that you give them the road. To distinguish them from warning, hazard or stop signals such lamps can be placed on the car’s roof in its four corners.

       Thanks for links. Yes, all this is very similar. But I think that I propose the simplest way. See most common messages and corresponding signals: 1. to car (or any moving subject) in front – “please, take/cross the way” – two flashing head green lights 2. to car behind you “go ahead by right lane” - two right flashing green lights 3. to car behind you “go ahead by left lane” - two left flashing green lights 4. to car behind you “thanks” - two back flashing green lights I believe that such signals/messages are intuitive recognizable and do not need to translate or regulate in any country. As for the color. Sure it could be something between green and blue, all other are occupied.
