The large sides of skyscrapers would make ideal locations
for graffiti, but cannot until now be accessed.
A swarm of 3x 'graffiti drones' each fitted with controlled
spray nozzles is envisaged.
One for cyan, one magenta and one yellow. The image is
loaded into software that generates a flight
path and spray
plan for each drone.
They will fly in rows from top left to bottom right, just like
a printer or TV image, rendering the picture onto the
chosen wall.

Why is this being implemented with raster-scan graphics as opposed to the (cleaner and more economical) vector graphics?
Nice idea though |

A potential [+] for innovation is, sadly, outweighed by the
massive [-] for public vandalism. |

An enormous phallus spraycanned onto the side of the Gherkin <link> would probably be amusing to most onlookers. |

//One observer's "vandadlism" is another's "Street Art" ... //
No. If the owner of the property lets you do it, it's Street Art.
If they don't, it's vandalism. |
|
|
Incidentally, to the best of my knowledge, the Gherkin doesn't
have a side. However, there's nothing apart from money to
prevent someone from building a couple of astronomical
observatories <link>on opposite sides of the Gherkin's base. |

Re vector graphics: I did think about that, would be great
for more cartoon / text heavy content, but not as good for
images I thought. Though I could be wrong here. |

//to the best of my knowledge, the Gherkin
doesn't have a side// Au contraire, it has two sides
comprising of an inside and an outside. |

//comprising of// Or, as we say in England, "comprising". |

That's the sort of thinking that's made Belgium the great nation it is today. |
