From the graffiti I've seen, these guys aren't even using an alphabet. How about an hieroglyphic spellcheck? |

Id just as soon not encourage the spell-checking ... let the fools see themselves for what they are. Having personally intervened between "White Fence" and "Armenian Power" in order to end Violence as well as Tagging in my former neighborhood in Los Angeles-which was a successful effort (ended 2 years of episodic - blah blah)- I'd just as soon not see Graffiti at all, let alone the other side of the coin again. |

I thought Tags are the things you get in the back of your underpants. I once beleived that I'd figured these tags out. My hypothesis was based on the assumption that they are actually joined up writing of conventional characters, but written upside down and back to front; so simple that it was bound to be overlooked. However, it was cobblers! They really are illegible squiggles. |

obviously some of you are ignorant to what's really going on here...writers (graffiti artists) can spell just as well as the next person...why do you make such a hasty generalization in stating these artists are "fools?" Stereotyping individuals whom you do not know is the way of the coward.
Writers often spell words they tag a specific way, (which you have labeled as "incorrectly") on purpose, as it allows the tag to become personalized and universally identifiable by other artists. Other times it is an intentional play on words meant to get people thinking. Some writer's may make the occasional mistake here and there, but I beg you to try claiming you have never mispelled a word in your life before puuting them down for the same affliction everyone faces. No one is perfect all of the time--there's no such thing as perfect. As long as you continue to have such a closed mind, your life will only be in vain. Open your mind and your heart and question reality. |

Sorry alliekittie,
This most assuredly would not be used by the artists that you know who can and do spell well.
This is for the ones "who simply can't spell" as the title says.
Not one "hasty general" was involved in this effort to help the misspelling artist. I don't see the word "fool" anywhere at all in my short idea.
I have misspelled many a word in my life. I wasn't intent on "puuting them down" as you say. I was rather trying to find a way to help out the artists you don't know, if they happened to misspell an important word in their spray message. |
