       I think there is already a flashing LED, but if not perhaps this is still not really an original idea.
  

       I think it will be fun to watch half a dozen or more duplicate recordings of the same social event on social media pages when everyone is wearing these.

       Why not have a low-power solid state laser, also used to designate the "point of aim" ?

       I think the fake blinking LED market would be bigger, so you can pretend to record what some boring person is doing, until they go away.

       Of course the glasses have to be equipped with accelerometer and speakers to make the proper "psshhfwrruuummmm" sound of a light-saber when the laser-pointer is activated.
