I think this would be a great thing to not do.

Works like a straight-up lamp on a table, dresser drawer, or floor. Classic lines, no suprise. Only when you turn it off you're left with a faintly glowing 'ghost', the lampshade, to light your way long enough to the door, to bed, or similarly around the darkened room.

I have a glow-in-the-dark lobster on the nightstand next to my bed....my sweetie and I use it find each other for kisses on silly nights.....but I don't think the lobster has ever been baked. I usually pressure cook mine when I'm lucky enough to catch some.

Also useful for temporary lighting if a bulb burns out unexpectedly or power failures. Should be mandatory for all hallways, public or private.

Funny thing - as a result of the above post I was contacted several years ago by a woman who had tried to find a glow-in-the-dark lobster for her husband as part of some running joke they had.

She'd been around the web and not found anything suitable. She wanted to know if she could buy mine. At the time I couldn't find it but I saved her email and a year later, when it turned up, I sent it to her. I wonder how that all turned out.
