A cultural demographics book that is guaranteed to make money and get you kicked off the artistic roll call forever.

See "Fab" link for an explanation of Fabrication. If Microsoft led the information age and Google is leading the knowledge age, then a 3D fabrication company with a "Z" in it's name (for the Z axis in 3D printing) would be a good candidate to, if not lead the Fabrication or "Realization" age, then at least coincidentally share its name with the timely generation who will benefit from the 3D printing age.

Someone who likes to write should write a book about Generation Z and the coming "Realization" age and make a million dollars.

       From the first link - The product is pizzled! (The Z generation would never understand this. - I myself had to wander my small room to find the scattered P.Dick collected volumes to check my spelling of pizzled. - from the short story "Autofac")

       Forgive me. By 3-d printing do you mean the process of laser forming parts or products?

       Sure, it's been halfbaked on a regular basis. Google 'Drexler' (I have no idea what will happen, but I'll bet it'll be good). Generation 'Z' is a good name for it.

       What a load of crap.

       Did you actually mean "a lode of crap"? The Mother CrapLode?

       Maybe a social historian can prove me wrong on this, but I think the Baby Boom Generation was the first generation of people to define themselves by generation... and also the last.

       The lameness of names like 'X' and 'Y' seems to me a good indication of the weakness of the whole generation-profiling idea.

       the 3-D printing generation? I know that advertising is getting more than obscene as time goes on but this sounds like an entire generation bent on print advertising. Of course, I'm 32 now which means I have entirely lost touch with teenagers and I have no idea what their slang is but I must say that I am not sure if we are evolving or devolving; or maybe both. Maybe that happens in every generation. Hopefully enough of them will finally learn enough responsibility that the whole world won't go down in a big mother lode of crap.

       //the 3-D printing generation?//

       I may mis-understand, but I thought, when I read that, that it meant the following:

       Order recieved from 11803 Wayward Fern Dr. Lake Okeekanobee, FL, 22146, CC# 1681 4232 .... ....

       Size 8-1/2, W: E, color: blue .....

       a wax vat is there in place. a laser then makes a mold of your ordered product. Your ordered product is then manufactured by CAD specs exactly as ordered.

       That's why I asked initially. Maybe I'm way off base, though. Maybe I'm thouroughly Pizzled.

       (I replaced the entire HVAC system in my house recently. & I mean Entire HVAC system. Tonight is the 2nd time I've run the heater as the first nearly gave me a heart attack. It set off all the fire alarms again tonight, but at least I got a family fire drill out of it. - The product IS Pizzled! - my house smells like 40~18 wheelers are driving through it every 20 min's - I hope this stops.)
