I don't think it will be news to many people if I point out the demographic generational divisions that seem to appear every 20 years or so. With some slight variations they generally go:
Boomers (born 1945 1965)
X-generation (born 1965 - 1985)
Y-generation (born 1985 2005)
Z-generation
(born 2005 2025?)
Assuming we dont blow ourselves up before 2025, and assuming that our culture proceeds at roughly the same rate, well need a name for what comes after the Z-gens (born 2025- 2045).
I suggest borrowing from Seuss- the one man who foresaw this need over 50 years ago in his seminal book On Beyond Zebra! (see link), and adopt his next character (Yuzz-a-ma-Tuzz). So we'll now have the Yuzz-a-ma-Tuzz-generation (or Yuzz-gen for short). By my math, Dr. Seusss extended alphabet should have us set until year 2425. At that point well revisit the issue.
BTW, lets also rename the Boomers to be the W-generation just for consistency.

I take issue with On Beyond Zebra because the book is not true to itself. Although the character Yuzz is depicted both on its own page and also at the end of the book together with other extrazedulars, the word Yuzz-a-ma-tuzz (which like other uses for these characters is the name of a critter) is clearly spelled with the letter Y, not the letter Yuzz. |

This was confusing to me as a first grader grappling with the concept of different alphabets. Now I think it is just slipshod. Bone! |

If we're going to append a new letter, can we give it a new or seldom-seen glyph please? Like Ђ. |

And furthermore it should make the sound of an indrawn "eeee", like the "Eee" in a donkey's "Eee-Haw". And it should have the name "Ethel". |

That link is truly fantastic, [bung]. I'll bet they've also done... |
