I propose an overhead garage door that has removable windows that can be swapped out for screens for those really warm days or for when you need some ventilation.

       Have you tried garagedoorscreens.com...?

As do I but in response to Dr C that is not what I am proposing. I am talking about a replacement or a sliding window that would maintain the normal operation of the garage door only replacing the windows themselves.

I had an idea sort of like this... except the screens were attached to sliding grates on the doors, so you could just slide it over a little for ventilation.

It got boned, then ignored, so I deleted it.

I guess there might be some problems with removable windows being even easier to break into, but since there are so many ways for breaking into a garage already that may not be an issue.

jh: sorry about that. But there are so many garage door screen links, I kinda gave up wading through them trying to find one like you describe.
