I have been crocheting all of my Xmas presents this year -- my
first
time crocheting and it has greatly improved my mental health. I
have gotten more audio books read, more net flicks series
finished,
and more evidence of the process than ever before. I love the
little
yogic routine the
your fingers go through with each stitch. And I
love the evidence -- the goods I get to give away and have people
think that I was doing a lot of work for them. But I am also loving
my Michael Jackson Pandora station workouts, and I couldn't do
one
without the other. I couldn't sit still for long enough to produce a
crocheted product if I didn't work out every day. And when I am
doing the crocheting, the only thing that goes wrong is that every
hour or so I have to stand up and walk around and sometimes I
forget
to do this and I end up after 3 hours feeling like my body has
melted
into the couch. This can't be good for my bottom half. My fingers
and mind are getting an excellent meditative workout, but my
butt
and legs are not moving at all and get sore.
Solution: Full Body Crochet, a yogic practice where you do the
crochet stitch with your whole body using gigantic yarn. Now the
problem is to find cheap, large-enough yarn.

I suggested full-body crochet yesterday to my sister who also
crocheted many of her gifts. Unfortunately we were thinking of
using the usual yarns and implements, to make a onesie or
jumpsuit. |

Crocheting is all well and good but, however well it's
done, the end result is a piece of crochet. |

This is great, if you, like me, aspire to be a crochety
old man. |

Interesting concept. Not sure it's doable, but I'll give
it a try and get back to you, after I untangle myself. |
