Football Zamboni

eliminate muddy fields

Sometimes at football games the field gets torn up and muddy, leading to boring, low scoring games. The football Zamboni would be like the Ice hockey one, except with grass instead of ice. At halftime, it would drive out and lay new sod. Great rolls of turf would be stored on a drum on the back of the truck and would unroll behind it like a carpet or toilet paper. They could play some kind of grass-themed music and people would cheer.

       Purple Haze springs to mind.

That's a lot of unnecessary usage of turf when there are alternatives, neologism AstroTurfs perhaps?

In "She's a Good Skate, Charlie Brown", Charlie states that, "there are three things in life that people like to stare at: a flowing stream, a crackling fire, and a Zamboni clearing the ice."

Snoopy and Woodstock have become the world's most famous Zamboni drivers.

Maybe for the Football Zamboni, you can let Charlie drive. To make up for all the times Lucy pulled away the football just as he was about to kick it. (+)
