Flipping a coin to decide something is an old and honored tradition, but the ever-present "Heads or Tails" just seems to need a bit of a face lift.
How about coins with a Croissant on one side, and Fishbones on the other?
Instead of "Heads or Tails", it would be "Bones or Buns".
The denomination
of this coin would certainly be a half-something.

[Flips...fishbone - sorry.) |
|
|
Keep flipping... there should be equal croissants and fishbones with this one. (Unless the coin is unbalanced) |

I like it. My weighted coin lands buns up. :) |
|
|
Darn, it always lands on the edge, halfway between. |

Heads: I win. Tails: you lose. |

Two croissants ahead... just about what I expected so far... I'll keep flipping. |

[DrCurry] no relation... I have edited my profile to clear up any confusion |

Back on the idea, [zigness] is there any suggestion that 'bakers would use this coin to assist in voting? |
|
|
Well, I think some ideas deserve a coin flip as opposed to actual thought... thought takes mental energy, and there are clearly some ideas on here (perhaps even a few of my own) that just don't warrant any more actual thinking. |

[+] I like this idea. Whenever you encounter a
situation where someone says "Is this a good idea?"
you can just take out your Halfbakery coin and find
out. |
|
|
Should be sold in sets of two: one with a croissant on both
sides, the other with a fishbone on both sides. Just use the
one that's appropriate to the idea in question. [+] |

How about three? Two with the same design on each
side,
and one 'real' one for when you actually want to
make a decision. |
