Certain blocks have individual clear protrusions allowing verticle connections of light conduits while others have lateral conduits and all clear protrusions.

Programable illuminating base sold seperately.

       Clear Lego bricks used to exist (I had a bunch in the bucket when I was a kid), though I'm several years behind on my knowledge of Lego tech. The fiberoptics can be kitbashed from lighting systems for model train layouts. This is definitely home-bakable.
