Go to Torquay. Build an exact replica of Fawlty towers if there isnt a suitable building already. (Alternatively buy the Gleneagles hotel, an experience in which the series was based on). Staff this with actors who have studied the characters from the series in great detail, and whom, if possible, have
been selected to look like Cleese et al. (007 commitments will make the man himself unavailable for the job) More actors could play the regular guests like Major Gowen and those old ladies.
Entertainment would come from watching scenes from the series occurring before your eyes as you walk through the lobby, sit in the dining room, etc, but also from enjoying the hospitality of Basil Fawlty (ie. The actors/staff would remain in character at all, even when not quoting the series verbatim.)
Although I envisaged this as a means to attract guests, advertising it as a normal hotel and relying on word of mouth might be better, certainly, watching the reactions of the unsuspecting holidaymaker when confronted with Fawlty would be entertaining for those already 'in the loop'.
It occurs to me that it might be rather fun also to have a Monty Python themed hotel; A giant foot hovering in the lobby, that descends on the hour, themed rooms for each of the films, the songs playing in the elevators, a naked man playing an organ in the resturant, and other such high jinx.* However I am reluctant to post this as a seperate idea. It's to close to this idea and both are a little 'WICTTISOTTVPWIBNIIWR'. So here it is; as a coda to the Fawlty themed hotel concept. Expand as you like...
*A Python-esque safari park in the style of the Zulu scene from 'Meaning of life' would be great fun. "A tiger?!, In Basingstoke? !"
Fawlty lookalikes...

<black armband>Will Manuel's pet rat be there?</black armband> |

ignore him - he's from Barcelona. BTW Sybil pops in here quite often.
I mean where I work - not the halfbakery :) |

I'd stay there - although I'm not sure I'd eat there (the rat-poison/ veal combination is not to my taste). |

Could I have the room next door to the Australian girl in the episode about the psychologists? |
I get the feeling that this would get terribly irritating after a very short while. |

Also, you'd have to have paramedics on standby. One of my Dad's best friend's uncles died laughing at Fawlty Towers. The chuckle stress gave him a massive heart attack. |

Better than the sickly anodyne ruybbish of Disney-themed hotels ..... yes. |
I don't think British hotels need to try to be comically bad. |
This would be a certain disappointment to all but the dullest fans. |
Silly, the same thing nearly happened to me when I saw the Rat episode. |

1 in 6 rooms come with an imitation corpse in the bed |

Do the doors disappear randomly? And do we get gnomes at reception? |
I like the Monty Python idea. Would stonings be put on as entertainment? Would beards be provided along with the usual bathrobes, soaps and other freebies? |
Hopefully, they will also be filming another version of "How Not To Be Seen" in the grounds ... |

I like the link text on Zircon's link: "SPOT THE MISSTAKE". |
