This set of 12 attractive knives, ranging from large to small, bread to pairing, fillet to turkey etc is licensed to show the approximate details of a range of famous murders.
Knife 3 for example - a 12" Butcher knife is a replica of the same weapon used in the Manson family slayings. At about
9 inches on the blade, an engraved mark shows the depth to which the similar blade was inserted into Sharon Tate's belly. At 6 and a half inches there is another notch indicating how far OJ Simpson's knife managed to reach on repeated insertions.
As you use each knife, you can imagine the scenario to which the same utensil was probably used.
Details of the desert spoons are a little more obscure, but equally as interesting.
Here is an appropriate rack for them

Dark. Very dark. Apologies for the straight-faced rebuttal of a joke, but I went to Wikipedia to educate myself about Sharon Tate's death and consequently am not in the mood to find this funny. |

The scenarios would be embossed on these steel 'canvasses'. |
Imagine how vegetables on the cutting board would see this. |
A special Lizzie Borden axe version would look interesting on the countertop. |
Unappealing idea. And I'm not paying extra for the Dian Fossey machete set. |
But the Lorena Bobbett paring knife might be a good conversation piece. |
You could extend the range to include Celebrity Death Furniture, allowing you to perch atop precarious toilets, slumber within a darth-bed, malignant coffee tables and foreboding TV arials. |
Could all the knives have a little picture of the murderer or the victim on the handle? |
This is dark and scary - I like it! |
You should stay way from recent murderstoo much emotional charge. How about the murder of Marat in a bath during the French revolution, or Caesar by Brutus et al? |
Dark, gory, and repulsive it may be, but there's no denying the commercial potential of this concept. May not be half-bakery material based on the fact that it's such a practical, do-able product. |

this could be extended to hostpital wear and we all know who those would belong to |
[Krelnik] I saw that very knife rack on sale in a shop in Sydney the other day. |

More interesting than funny, but they would definitely sell. Pair them with white tea towels featuring printed on blood spatters. |
nice idea wagster. would definitely make for a lively dinner party. |
I think this has just gone bit to far! |
//a lively dinner party// Served with a nice Chianti...slurp slurp slurp.... |
Care for some fava beans to go with that wine? |
Perhaps a famous murdered hardware set would be better. Crowbars, tire irons, hacksaws, etc. |
Just wait til Ron Popeil gets ahold of this idea!
39 piece set of full tang knives, includes Chinese cleaver, poultry shears (whole other murder concept [mensmaximus]!), sharpener, and complete Bobbit set of steak knives... All for just 3 easy payments of 33.33 each!
And wait, There's More!
Set of completely blood-stained dish towels and special offer OJ Simpson carving gloves, also with the exclusive Popeil blood stains. |

Careful with that axe, Eugene. |

Reminds me of piece of work by Cornelia
Parker, one of my favourite artists, called
Shared Fate, where she cuts a series of
objects with the same guillotine blade that
was used to sever Marie Antoinette's head.
The Cutlery Set is a class idea and a hard
act to follow + |

Shared Fate :: Sharon Tate. sounds like a cryptic clue from a devious serial baker xenzag |
The end of the blade could be "browned" by using ammonia, nitric acid and gallic acid. Allow to dry in between. |
Knives have a bad enough image in some places. |
