False-Bottom Food Containers

So other people don't STEAL the ice cream........

Being fed up with people stealing my food, I want a special container, made specially for people like me. A container with a false bottom.

You take whatever you want and put it on the top. Make is something nasty, that no-one likes, or bothers to steal. Say, green-bean-&-tuna casserole. Or something like that.

And in the false bottom, hidden away from prying eyes, you can store ice cream, cookies, whatever you want.

No-one's going to steal green-bean-&-tuna casserole, right?

It would work equally well with drink containers. Hidden Coca-Cola in the soy-milk carton, or something.

Nice [+]. The best part, is that as the weeks & months go by, you only need to refill the bottom part, leaving the top part to age to a perfect repulsiveness. Just need to have a good seal.

Oh, and start w/ JHC's spicy leftovers....

Professional food burglars will of course become familiar with this product and be alert for it, just like those fake shave cream dispensers where people keep their loose $20's.

Eww. What if you forget about it? Four years later you have a knew and really hairy strain of supervirus. Don't mess with ma food man! :P

[DF], I remember the anno about false bottom pringles canisters, as an alternative to the tear away... Now, you've done up and enhanced the idea, wOw-eEe-wOw. [+]

In general, I'm beginning to suspect that false bottoms rock and roll.

Personally, I'm a big fan of all sorts of hidden compartments.

Hope you find this (+) before the stuff on top turns.

Great for hiding the acid in the freezer. [+]

Is food stealing a major problem? Why does this happen? Have you contacted the authorities?

I suspect DF has college roommates

Probably after the thieves see the greenbean/tuna casserole in there, you could replace the whole container with a normal pint of ice cream and they wouldn't look inside. I don't think you need a false bottomed thing at all.

and another false bottom under the false bottom to hide your money.

I want a false bottom so that the next time a mugger tries to take away my bottom at knifepoint I can present him with my false bottom, safe in the knowledge that my real bottom is still in my trousers.
wagster, May 06 2005

       Right on!, [UB]
daseva, May 06 2005

Not to mention a false false bottom to thwart thieves wise to the false bottom strategy, po.
Soterios, May 06 2005

Is not a false false bottom true?
daseva, May 06 2005

Yes, but (not a false false bottom)=true bottom
wagster, May 06 2005

Sorry, I was thinking recursively, not logically. You know, it's false bottoms all the way down.
Soterios, May 06 2005

Reading my mind again, Sot, and that's just plain scary!

Ha - that's because at some time during the lifespan of the idea someone did a high dive, and forgot they had been using their parachute as a moth motel.

This green-bean-&-tuna casserole has been around since 2005. I wonder why the Fox doesn't throw it out.
