Fake dirty water dog bath

A dog shampoo that looks and smell like a puddle.

Dogs hate baths in clean, warm water with special doggie shampoo, but will leap enthusiatically into any cold muddy puddle they come across.

So, have an efficient low-foam dog cleansing product that looked and smells (to the dog) pretty much like mud but still smells OK to humans.

Fill a sink, bath or paddling pool with cold water. Tip in "MudBath". Stir. Open door and let eager dog bath itself ......

How did this gem fall so quickly off the face of the Earth?

I like the deception. I like a cleaner dog. The only downside I can identify, is that the ruse is predicated upon spoofing a dog's smelling capability. This might be possible, but not by a species so unsophisticated in the realm of smell as humans.

A rough equivalent would be a pack of wolves scratching a crude drawing of a pub into the dirt including a sign with "A Nice Ye-Olde Hooman Pubbe - this way hoomans" written on it. The whole area would be surrounded by wolf-paw prints and several wolves would be dressed up pretending to play darts. No, I reckon dogs are high-level connoisseurs of both muddy puddles and white carpets.

How did I miss this? Dogs would wash themselves. Dogs having much more sensitive noses than humans you could absolutely put in wonderful filth smells that the dog would sense that people wouldn't. [+]
