Harness Antartic Katabatic wind with liquified air production

I was taken by [UnaBubba]'s idea of harvesting antartic Katabatic winds. and the discussion breaks down into how to transport this energy from this remote area. There is something of a specialty about this area of the world it is cold. If you were to manufacture liquid Nitrogen or Oxygen or whatever else is in the air that would be one less refrigeration step. This adds more free energy into the system when compared with the warmer climates in which the liquid will be used or otherwise manufactured. Perhaps the more decentralized wind mills could be glorified air compressors that will have their heat removed by the time the pipeline reaches the refigeration part of the process. Specialized megatankers could run off of the pressurized off gassing of their cargo. There should be enough specialized need for liquid nitrogen that you don't have to think of it in terms of an energy transfer system when compared to other energy transfer systems but the boost by manufacturing in the cold climate, that other methods don't take advantage of, is a bump that needs to be compared with the remoteness of this cheap energy.

Good to see you back, Merc. I like the idea. Plus it could be robotized.

I wonder how much advantage climate offers - compared to how cold liquid nitrogen is, Antarctica and Samoa are about the same.

Robots would definitly add to the coolness
