Having hot feet can be very uncomfortable.
Diethyl ether is a relatively inexpensive volatile organic compound.
These new socks from BorgCo have a sweat-absorbing inner layer, an impermeable layer, and a capillary outer layer.
The control system maintains the outer layer in a state of saturation;
since the boiling point of ether is 34.6 C, liquid will continuously boil away, efficiently cooling* the wearer's feet.
Also available in the same product area are the new BorgCo automatic fast-acting sock extinguishers.
*Unless, of course, the ether ignites.

Is there a word for having feet that don't sweat? I swear I can wear a pair of shoes or work-boots for months and they still smell like new. Weird eh? |

I'm sure that Etherial socks will be a fine temporary relief for ordinary mortals or hegemonizing swarms. |

Hmm, at last it becomes clear...Kim Jong Nam was wearing the prototypes... |

Actually, he was modelling a pair of our new range of varifocal sunglasses ... didn't end well. |

Reminds me of an interview I heard with some people
who visited a cave which was deep underground and
about 40°C. The problem they found was that sweating
didn't cool them at all - instead, because they were
the coolest thing in the cave, 40°C water vapour from
the air would condense on them and heat them up. |

Having frequently spilled ether on bare skin, I can tell you that it is more likely to give you frostbite than make your feet comfortable. |

Also, since when do Borg have feet? I assumed you were just little sugar-cubes milling around in that big cube. Have I been misunderinformed? |

But if the coolant leaks, the socks could still knock you out if you smell them. |

Because they use real ether ... |

Ethernet stockings ? Kinky ... |

Hmm, would work best as chiropodist robbing scheme. You take off your shoes, the ether overcomes the chiropodist and you get to work on the petty cash box undisturbed.... |
