Remember those fluorescent lights where you had to hold down the button to make them start? Retrofit these with a sound effect generator so when you are holding them in the start position it sounds like you are cranking an engine. If you let go on time and the light goes on, you hear it sound just like
a car starting and a 'vroom' and then a fade out. If you don't manage to get the light to light it would just turn over with no 'vroom'. If the light is already on, or you hold down the start button too long, you would hear the sound of grinding metal.

I want certain of my household and office appliances to emit the same start-up sound as the "proton packs" from Ghostbusters. |

I've got soundfiles of both flickering/buzzing fluorescent startups, and the fweee! sound of the proton pack startups for Windows... |

Hey, StarChaser, where can i get them? |
|
|
I think fweee! would sound great at startup. |

I used both of them for startup sounds...I've got a widget that randomly chooses one of ten startup and ten shutdown sounds...If anybody else wants the file, can email me. |
