This would work fine, except in terms of success.

Put a wireless radio control thingy inside of one of those fidget cubes with all of the clickies all over it, and turn it into a computer input device for DeafBlind people. Touch screens are not working for this community. This clicky interface would lead us back towards a clicky world and away from touch screens.

Remote two way tactile interface (link).

Actually, much though I want to bone this on general principle, I find that I cannot. I can see an opportunity to develop a sort of hand-held thing that could be part trackball, part mouse, part Wii and part something completely unexpected. Given the subtlety of the human hand, it ought to be useful for something other than hitting a regular array of uniform keys, or dragging things around on a flat surface.

Reminds me of Tactalis (tactile computer interface).
