A lunch box made of an edible material. After you eat the lunch, you could eat the bag/box too! Saves time on messes. Except for chip bags as though... Perhaps the entire lunch should be made edible then...

Just think about how much contact the exterior of a lunch box/bag has during the course of a day before lunch ... |
what Lbf said and you would have nothing to put tomorrow's packed lunch in. |
now a lunch box that looked like a really big set of false teeth would be really neat! |
you're just not chewing your current lunchbox long enough |
The solution to the problem posed by Lbf is to put your edible lunch box/bag in a paper bag. Seems simple enough. |
Or just eat an apple as your lunch. |

Even though I don't like this idea, it reminds me of sourdough bread bowls. Eat your soup, then finish off the bowl. Yum. |

Ah, but you could eat lunch in the park, then toss your bag on the ground for the birds and the squirrels... |

With no lunch box I wouldn't have ANY trace of my lunch after it is stolen by co-workers from the office refrigerator. |
I'm full, would you like to eat my box? |
Baked. Literally. This is what cornish pasties were for. The crimped egde along the top was for holding onto so that the mucky men eating them didn't get their lunch dirty. Sometimes there was even meat/veg filling in one end and fruit in the other end for desert. |

Um... What's a cornish pastie...? Sorry, I'm a USian. |
[friendless] see link for the delight that is the Cornish Pasty (or Pastie) depending on your choice. |
[jtg] pasty singular, pasties plural. |
*sigh* I miss cornish pasties. |
[k_sra] I had one on Wednesday, and they're not as good as you remember. |
[tsuka], I was in a West Country pasty shop, in London Village. |
ok, ok, you're ganging up on me now. I agree, there's nothing like a good old 'Edible lunch box' bought in the west country, eaten with scrumpy, with a face full of salty ocean. |
the whole idea behind the
lunchbox/bag is that it touches
what you dont want your food to
touch. i would never eat food that
was rolling around in my backpack
back in school. not to mention the
issues of how sturdy a lunch box
should be and how brittle your
food should be. |
thats all the complaining from me. |
