Huge firewoiks display set off in/on/around moon during lunar eclipse.
[link]
|
|
Launch a fireworks display from the moon towards the earth. |

Total solar eclipses are perfectly safe for naked eye viewing (at the moment of totality). |

I'm not sure of the point of this idea. Lunar eclipses are not totally dark. Most of the time the moon turns a reddish color (lit by the sun refracting through the earth's atmosphere). Fireworks would be very distracting from this spectacle. |

If you mean to actually shoot the fireworks off on the moon itself, they won't work as there is no atmosphere on the moon, thus no oxygen to permit necessary combustion. There is no one there to see them anyway, and they would not be visible from the earth. |

The next lunar eclipse takes place on the 16th of this month, visible from most of North America. Late evening on the east coast, rising partially eclipsed on the west. |
