You've seen in films like Aliens the potential for big human-operated machines, where a person's body movement is directly translated into more powerful movements. Well, here's step one.

Suggested by the "Double-Thumbed Gardening Glove", I propose a glove with two thumbs. One of these will read in movements from your real thumb, and the other one matches them. This will make it easier to grip annoyingly shaped tree branches, cats, cliff edges, etc.

Advanced models could have force feedback to the real thumb to prevent the wearer from causing damage to the cat.

A new standard for the piano, a 7/8 scale keyboard.  Interesting, if you play. [bristolz, Apr 24 2002, last modified Oct 05 2004]

Basic model for me, please. I want to reserve my right to squash the cat.

could there be a delicate edition for those of us with hands too small to reach Rachmaninov's augmented ninths?

Piano gloves? Wow, now there's a good idea. Do we have sophisticated enough force feedback to make musical creativity a possibility?

The hand puppet industry would surely benefit from this technology.

Rach could make a 14th, I've read.  Yikes.  He had some big hands.

(Re: link) That would be tough to get used to, bris.
