Has anyone ever not voted for a particular idea on halfbakery just because you thought it may take ten seconds to click and reload the page? (Even with a DSL/cable) How about making the voting links into small javascript pop-up windows that refresh in the background? You won't need to refresh all the
graphics and text either.
Okay, so right clicking and choosing "Open in New Window" comes close to this effect. But not everyone thinks of this.
I just see a lot of ideas with few votes. Some even have more comments than votes.

I really want to vote for this idea, but it's just too difficult. |

I really don't care to vote for this idea, and it's just so easy. |
If you make it too easy, people might not think before they vote...... ooops, did I just undermine the whole basis of representative democracy ? |

When you vote, you don't need to wait for the page to fully reload before your vote is counted. You can experiment to find the exact time required, and I'm pretty sure this won't have any ill effect on jutta's server(s). |

"Some even have more comments than votes" |
That's because it's usually more interesting to discuss an idea than it is merely to indicate approval or disapproval. |
Also consider that 'few votes' may actually mean 'many neutral votes'. |

Is it too late to vote? I just want to add a schmear to that 1/2 bun in the corner. |
