My S.O. and many other people like to listen to music or
audio-books in bed before going to sleep. The problem
is
you are very likely to fall asleep midway through your
playlist or story. Current audio players can only take
rough
guesses as to when you stopped listening and the next
morning
you have to scroll backwards to the last bit you
remember.
This product consists of ordinary headphones, either
wired
or bluetooth, paired with a headnet fitted with contact
electrodes and the electroencephalograph app on your
media player. Simply don the headnet and earphones
when in bed and start your audio-book or music. When
the
system detects you've passed a certain threshold of theta
waves to alpha waves it gently lowers the volume and
shuts
down. This threshold point is adjustable to your
individual
preference to most accurately conform with your ability
to
recall where you left off.

You could also train yourself to think "pause", "skip" or "rewind". |

This is very bakeable using existing tech. |

Nice link [8th]. The three uses that Neurosky have found
for their technology seems rather banal in comparison. |

Yes, but at precisely the right time. |

Well, that's the idea. When we set up the dummy company to get homo sapiens introduced to mass market brain reading technology, we didn't want to make a big thing of it until we had enough units out there to go for a successful "free upgrade" (and subsequent takeover and Assimilation). |

Ooops ... should we have said that ? |
