Went to buy some q-tips for cleaning ears and was told
they were in the far side of the you disgust me section
of the store, condoms and personal hygiene stuff mostly.
So I think they already might sort of do this so the idea is
to do the beaded curtain thing like the used to have in old
video
rental stores to cordon off the adult video section.
Id add a recording automatically triggered when someone
went in saying Customer needing assistance in the adult
diaper, condom, enema and anti gas medications section.

If you didn't want to smoke after watching this you were dead inside.

Be honest -- when you found only Q-tips there, did you wonder if they were implying something else? |
|
|
Hmm, good point. Maybe I wasn't clear on where I
was planning on sticking them. |
|
|
Along with this idea should the cigarettes be stocked in the
pharmacy? |
|
|
What happens if you put them in the kid's toy
section? Not a new idea, see linky. |

//..cigarettes... pharmacy//
No; a pharmacy is for things that help people.
Cigarettes (if they must be somewhere) should be in a hardware
store, next to the herbicides, pesticides, & other toxic stuff. |
|
|
Speaking of cigarettes, question: how many people
died because of this
scene: (link) |
|
|
As a young man watching this, I couldn't get into a
fancy European casino dressed in a tux, play or
even understand the game much less win every
hand while intoxicating the beautiful woman
across the table but I sure as hell could buy a pack
of cigarettes and look cool lighting them up and
smoking them. Quit a long time ago but this scene
was more effective than any commercial at selling
these things. |
|
|
In this and real-world scenes I wonder if it would have been
more cost-effective for the casino to burn its own tobacco
and fill the entire room with smoke. I mean seriously, it
looks like LA in there. |

+ pretty funny! Love the beaded curtain idea. It
used to be like that in the old hippie stores when
they sold incense and candles in the front and then
the rolling papers and pipes were behind the
beaded curtain! |
|
|
Great title for something, "Behind The Beaded
Curtain". |
|
|
Novel? Song? Article? Gets you asking "What IS behind
that beaded curtain?" Although I guess that would
work with anything. "Under The Cardboard Box",
"Inside That Jar On The Stairs." "Floating In Uncle
Bob's Toilet". |
|
|
Sounds like the hippie version of "Behind The Iron Curtain" (I
didn't know if it existed; turns out it's a video by Iron Maiden or
an album by Nico). |
|
|
Of course, such is the beaded curtains association
with secrecy, that in shops which sell beaded
curtains they have to be displayed behind a
beaded curtain |

I love this. Now, this is why I still return to this beautiful
space. Sensible, laughable, doable, (sorta), and embarrassing. |
