Have you ever done multi-task task? I have and sometimes I talk to my friends while typing my homework or something (on the computer). Every time you get typing, your friend IM's you something and then you look at it and forget what you were doing! If you use IM you would know how you can dock you contact list. This small and easy extension would let you dock your message window. Easy and simple, but useful! Read what your friend is trying to say without having to go balk and forth in windows.

simple - just use another window manager that lets you do it. think compiz fusion, for example.
