A taser which disrupts signals to the brain.

Everyone's brain signals run on a certain frequency with a small electric current. A taser could somehow be modified to produce an electric charge which could disrupt these brain signals. No one would be killed with it (unless prolonged exposure occured for some reason?) however it would paralyse someone for at least 20 - 30 minutes - more than enough time to run away.

... maybe [anon52] is suggesting something slightly different to existing tasers [jonthegeologist, Oct 17 2004]

Doesn't a regular taser have much the same effect?
