My mother goes through about 10 pairs of glasses a year and ends up practically buying them in bulk (we are talking reading glasses here, but this possible for all types of prescriptions) and whether she looses them or breaks them, they will end up in the trash. If they are all plastic, why not have
them be recyclable (or biodigradable, made out of corn)? I hope this idea implies smarter consuming, I hope.

You could certainly make the lenses from sugar (though you might not be so happy after the cat's been at them). In fact, why not make the whole thing edible? |
