Disposable Toilet
Single use, not the unsanitary chemical nightmares currently foisted on outdoor crowds | |
You pick the pot up at the stand, take it into the closet, do your stuff, shut the lid with the pampers-style tapes, dump it in the bin, leave the closet and wash your hands.
In case the category is puzzling you, for use at outdoor concerts, festivals and other places where portaloos are commonly
abused.
(Yeah, I know this sounds rather like a chamber pot, but this one's made out of ecologically friendly materials and sticky tape.)
[IVnick8or: ziplog bags most certainly do not bake this - no seat.]

I like this idea. I don't think it is baked. Although, 'disposable' is a very Western insitiution. It accounts for the mile-high landfills that were our parks and forests. If it can indeed be made organic you've got my vote. |

Most UK hospitals use a papier-mache bowl that fits a plastic surround. This, once filled, is put into a machine that macerates and flushes the resultant mess. They also make urine bottles for the guys and vomit bowls too. See link. Makes me think I've spent far too much time in hospital. |

Sticky tape is also organic- cellulose you know. |

Fishbone for the word "disposable". |

andrewm: huh? You want to clog up the landfills or your basement?
BC: disposable, all right, but their no. 2 product (sic) does not solve the main problem with existing portable toilets, that many individuals have sat there before you, subjecting you to the bathroom habits of the lowest common denominator. So I leave my idea up, single use disposable potties with integral seats. |

You know, for someone who has spent a lot of energy decrying ideas that bear a very, very faint resemblance to things that exist you're certainly wriggling on this one, DrC. [BinaryCookies] linked product appears to me as virtually indistinguishable from your idea and, where it does differ, it apeears to me to be superior. |

Just taking a leaf from other people's books. ;) |

I envisioned single-use disposable potties. The link is to single-use disposable baggies - the potty is multi-use. So it's close, but misses the feature I consider most important. |

In regular restrooms, we go to great lengths to allow people not to touch any bathroom surface that might have been touched by another (toilet seat covers, infrared sensors, etc.). I want to extend that level of hygiene to the Portasan. The links do show current technology is up to it. |

Can't I just use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. plus what if someone needed a towel and happened to open the closet door to find you taking a crap in a closet full of clean items, boy i sure would be using those towel for a bond fire. |
