Ah, the freedom of movement allowed by the Mu-Mu!

I believe they are mostly worn by the more portly population but they are due for their time in the mainstream spotlight.

Disposable - cuts down on price, increases sales, more convenient, dont need a bib or napkin when you eat or drink, can double as an overcoat when you go out to clubs or dinner and have to wait outside

Designer - becomes a new artform, people express themselves thru the medium of mu-mu. could even give them away free if they have catchy advertising on them although people will become walking billboards moreso than they are now (think nike swoosh)

Although not designer, great big garbage bags make for excellent raincoats. Especially for those (like myself) who are too lazy to buy one.

ah yes, a big, plastic sweatfactory. tres chic...

You'd have to make them recyclable, I think. And so I ask: paper or plastic?

       Sorry I have to ask, but what's a "Mu-Mu"?

The colorful long Hawaiian dress preferred by Zippy the pinhead (see link) and Homer Simpson (in the episode where he fattens himself to qualify as disabled).

"Disposable - cuts down on price, increases sales, more convenient, dont need a bib or napkin when you eat or drink, can double as an overcoat when you go out to clubs or dinner and have to wait outside"

...and so you dont have to wait in line at the coat check at the end of the nite

besides, there are already washable ones out there...

Actually, I like the disposable idea. Once inside (at school) I hate wearing a soaking wet jacket. Garbage bags are great:

Wear one, bring another in your pocket. No more "hot clammy: raincoat feeling.

Why aren't they called "Moo Moos"? (ducking the rocks about to be thrown...) And they could come in various designer prints emulative of the markings of types of cows.

       Why would one wear filariasis?
