Displosable cutlery & other products

Some disposable cutlery is biodegradable. The idea is that you can throw it in the compost or on the ground, and it will turn into nutrients for plants. However, it biodegrades slowly due to its low surface area-to-volume ratio. To enable quicker biodegradation, it needs to be broken into small pieces.

Explosives to the rescue! Each piece of Displosable cutlery from Approximate Industries incorporates a small amount of explosive, running inside the entire piece of cutlery. When you're done with the cutlery, just snap off the tab at the back of the handle. Ten seconds later, it will explode and be ready for composting or quick open-air biodegradation. While it is perfectly safe to let it explode only a foot from your body, we suggest throwing the cutlery in the compost bin or on the ground before it explodes, to avoid having to clean up the bits from the table.

More Displosable products are in development.

Pasta spoons Pasta_20spoons
I think making cutlery-shaped pasta is a better idea, and contains an appealing "Circle of Life" notion whereby you eat a meal with the cutlery, which you then cook for your next meal, which you eat with more pasta-cutlery, and so on... [hippo, Apr 25 2018]

       [+] immediate bun : I would, of course, like knives, forks and spoons to degrade as fast explosives, slow explosives and thermite, respectively.

       A friend of mine is a bit obsessed about keeping takeout cutlery (for "future use"... apparently by her great grandkids) : I'd like a method of "accidentally" disposing of same.

       Should be "Displosive"

       High explosives, small explosives, and incendiaries.

       By putting "other products" in the idea title, [notexactly] has effectively covered every possible product idea which could conceivably be posted on the Halfbakery in the future. Every future idea for a new product will now be marked for deletion with a message that it is redundant with this idea.
hippo, Apr 25 2018

       But it leaves us with the messy problem of carving out all of the preexisting product ideas - crying redundant for each such idea, one at a time - from the generalised sweep of this idea, which will take, if my estimates are correct, quite some time.

       Perhaps one of the few logically permissible ideas left is one which proposes some sort of automated script to visit each idea and mark it as redundant. This would be, if you like, the "Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged" of the Halfbakery.

       //<Tut-tutting>// cortical blockage; all I could think of was "flare" for incendiaries. The others I usually think of as "crack" and "whomp" anyways, C4 vs Tovex.

       // Tovex //

       Yes, well, if you buy your stores at K-Mart, what do you expect ?

       It's actually more of a "THUBB" sound, unless you're what is known as "too close", in which case the best rendition is most probably "O, shi ... ".

       There is something to be said for making more things out of good old celluloid.
