Nasty Dirty Horrid.

Smoking is a terrible thing made worse by the appaulling number of cigarette butts discarded arounf the globe (anyone fancy guessing how many?). They don't degrade particulary quicky, are offensive to the eye, and extremely conspicous.

The idea is simple: make cigarette butts photo-degradable (eg they decompose int he prescence of direct UV). since they are locked up in little dark packets until they are smoked, there is no danger of them breaking up too sonn, & if left in sunlight they will disappear nice-n-quick.

Hell if they were doped with the right chemicals you could use them as slow release plant fertiliser ...

That would be cool. Then we could just throw them anywhere.

I see more soda cans and plastic snack bags strewn about than cigarette butts. At least cigarette butts are made of paper and cotton. We need disappearing snack and fast-food containers.
