Many years ago, I posted an idea for a small digital fly that would crawl around (annoyingly) on the inside of a computer screen, in the same way as they do when they land on the outside of an active television screen. I think I deleted it as cannot find now.

It was elected to the leadership of the Labour party. If you watch the news, you'll see it crawling round now and again, making irritating buzzing noises.

I can see that now. It's so obvious - bashes screen with lump hammer.

Can we interest you in a few spraycans of our special BorgCo Special High-Potency Digital Cat, sorry Fly Spray ? Very effective ...

If the paper label rubs off, it's safe to ignore the white-on-olive-drab Cyrillic text underneath. It's only the cans we re-used. No reputable organization would ever offer out-of-date spraycans of former Warsaw Pact chemical weapons for retail sale as domestic insecticide, so you're quite safe.

       Probably.

       Don't use too much, though.

I haven't seen an app or anything like that that does that, but I have seen a few people with animated forum avatars of flies walking around, at least one of which I thought was a real fly for a few seconds.
