Nice. As I have argued before (see link), the flaw
with all fire alarms is that you don't know they're
not working properly until your building burns to
the
ground with no alarm going off, and thus the only
safe kind of alarm would be one which sounds
continuously, *except* when there is a fire. Thus,
in
this case your building would be full of the sound
of
cackling maniacal laughter all the time, except
when
on fire - which coincidentally is how I imagine
[8th]'s place of work to be. |
