Delete My Number
A feature which lets you remove your number from someone else's phone. | |
Someone's got your number, but you don't want them to have it.
Okay, so
you shouldn't have given it to them in the first place right, but maybe
you
had a good reason at the time (you were dating, they were a work
colleage at a place you've since left) but now you want them to stop
calling
you. Of course, you could block them but this doesn't stop them using
your number from another phone.
What if there was a way to send a command code to their phone
which
deleted your number from their address book, quietly and discreetly.
This would require some fairly major overhauling of the way cell
phone
numbers operate, but it's conceivable that it could be coded into the
firmware of new phones adopting the new system.

I think the phone companies already have a service whereby you can block calls from a number. |
|
|
It's no good, bunnywubs, I've written it down already. |
|
|
how about planting your number in someones phone, remotely? |
|
|
Maybe there could be a service for people to break discretely into your house and carefully tippex over the relevant line in your address book. |

What happened to bobofthepast? |

I wouldn't agree, [bobofthefuture]. As someone who has been stalked twice, if those people had known i was blocking their numbers, they would have seen it either as attention from me or as something [grayure] forced me to do, which would've made them more determined. |
