I logged on to the halfbakery from a lap top computer on the weekend, (I find it's just not possible to be bored and next to a computer without perusing at least a couple of ideas), and I found that I missed using a mouse more than I thought I would. Now I know you can get a plug in mouse to use with
a lap top, but why not an inflatable/deflatable mouse that lives in a tiny compartment inside?
See this way you wouldnt miss your mou...I mean your mouse wouldnt miss you.

HP OmniBook 800 manual (still available on HP's website!)
http://h10032.www1....ctg/Manual/bpi03772 Appears to have the same mouse as the 600. It happens to say "The OmniBook mouse is PS/2-compatible.", so I suppose you could take it out of the laptop (it being user-replaceable) and attach it to a desktop computer, if you happen to really like the OmniBook mouse for some reason. Disney Research: Designing Inflatable Structures paper [PDF]

YouTube: Process of designing an inflatable boat in SketchUp
https://www.youtube...watch?v=B3Yy3kuABHY Looks like a mouse might be too complex a shape for this SketchUp process to easily handle, but I think the process could easily be adapted to more capable CAD software that could better handle a mouse shape. [notexactly, Nov 14 2019]
Ant Farm's Inflatocookbook [PDF]
http://alumni.media...plitpages-small.pdf A book on making large inflatable structures (the kind that you inflate with a fan/blower), from the early 1970s. Die Fledermaus....Man, that went right over my head until you pointed it out. I think it's icing on the cake. |

I suppose it goes without saying that the tiny storage compartment would be generally known as the *mouse hole*. Or, perhaps, *Bat Cave*, in keeping with the Fledermaus theme. |

Do you inflate it using Die Nieber Lungs? |

The HP OmniBook had a mouse that "folded out" from the side of the computer. It was on a swing arm such that there were no actual electronics (other than the buttons) in the "mouse" itself -- the movement sensor was on the other end of the arm inside the computer. It was a neat idea, but unfortunately not inflatable. |
