Currently on local stations:

Weather:
Maybe 15 seconds of some spectacular footage from someplace else.

Sports:
Maybe 30 seconds of some spectacular footage from someplace else.

Cute stuff:
is saved for maybe 1 minute of the last segment of the broadcast news on the local level.

How boring

I propose 30 minutes a day of a bunch of solid news centered around the screwballs, as submitted by news stations and home videos.

Inspiration:
30 seconds of a cat eating cat food at a table using fork, Chinese food with chopsticks and ice cream with a spoon.

NOT a show such as America's Funniest Home Videos or Real TV, but actual news broadcasters functioning as *IF they are handling actual news.

*IF is a mighty big word

You saw that cat too? I thought that was just local news...

You never watch the Daily Show? (Baked, I say.)

Can't recall the show name, but the concept is like one I've seen. Tagline was something like, "We bring you reports from places you shouldn't pay to visit" or "Reports from around the world, to the safety of your own home". Can vouch that there are some wild and crazy folk in the Far East and the Third World.
