The word "How?" springs to mind at this point.

These are a category of geometric toys like blocks and spinning tops, but with dangerous points on them. They would be just for show.

Baked. Haven't you heard of the commonplace "Lego injury": damage to the underside of the foot arising from stepping on something small, hard and angular - like a Lego brick. (with all due respect to trademarks and copyright).

Ah lawn-darts, them was the bad old days when kids was nimble.

I think that's there for legal reasons.

I worry that if these were shown as art, the takeaway message was that the artist thought it might be interesting if kids risked getting hurt from dangerous toys.

More interesting would be if the proposed toys had soft caps on the spikes, bladeguards and other addons to prevent the kids from being harmed by the dangerous and sharp components.

My grandson got stabbed in the throat from the end of a roll-up calendar. Danger is not limited to toys!

What's wrong with letting the little ones play with bow saws, carving knives, straight razors, mousetraps and live hand grenades?

That is word for word what we said at the Board of Education hearings, but they still forced us to close the kindergarten. Mean, we call it.
