Dalek road cones

Shamelessly plagiarised from "flocking road cones"

Very like flocking road cones; same mechanism inside, same mode of action, but they look like Daleks.

About half the size of a real Dalek, so about a metre high, these terrfying cybernetic entities would patrol the roads, defending their territory from invading cars. Even the most agressive drunken vandal is going to thing twice before messing with a group of Daleks, even small ones......

Each group will have a Black "leader" Dalek which the others follow. This would have GPS and radio comms to stay in touch with all the other leader Daleks.

When they find road works, the Daleks form a perimiter guard, facing outwards, their sink plungers waving menacingly, their eye stalks swivelling to watch passing vehicles. Their flashing lights show their presence in the dark.

Solar powered, armoured, amoral and relentless, they patrol the highways....... imagine driving along the M25 and seeing a small convoy of Daleks trundling along the hard shoulder on some inscrutable mission..... would YOU challenge them ?

Of course, you could just run up some steps......

All dalek ideas are automatically good ones.

Given that normal road cones are largely unremarkable yet often stolen, I think the theft rate for these would be huge. Every student would have a flat full of them.

"Steve, you'll have to climb through the window, the Daleks have set up a diversion in the hall again."

       Who thought this up.

//Even the most agressive drunken vandal is going to thing twice //. I would hate to know what "thing twice" constitutes.

I suppose it could have been worse, "Gaelic Road Cones" springs to mind. At least you Pict a better name.

Only if you don't mind them firing back at you.

       EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

// Every student would have a flat full of them //

Would they ? How long would you put up with a dalek trundling round, yelling "Let me out ! Let me out !" at all hours of the day and night, and smashing into the furniture, while its comrades prowled round outside, squawking encoragement?

What a ridiculous idea. Cones are warning sigms to heed you from the black holes that humans create in tarmac. The only thing on Dalek's minds is to exterminate humans by sending them into the nearest Black Hole they can find. Not very safety minded for the welfare of humans beings, I'm afraid.

NJ, these are not real daleks, they are flocking road cones made to look like daleks. Please pay attention.

Proposing to use real daleks would just be silly.

And your point is .... ?

In holes in the road, presumably....

I suppose if I'd just had a pint of Seagram's I'd challenge anything.

Keep weaving, you'll be harder for them to aim at with their disintegrator beams........ oh, and don't mistake them for litter bins and try to open their lids so you can vomit in them, that REALLY pisses them off.....
