Curious Roomba Python

Curious Roomba Python is a roaming vacuum cleaner that slithers around the floor replicating the patterns and motion of the snake it resembles.

Internal motors combined with a processor ensure that the movements are constant and random, causing it to explore, map and learn the extent of its environment. Roomba Python recharges by periodcially finding, then curling up on its own induduction pad.

When its flickering tongue encounters a wayward piece of Lego or similar small item, the reticulating mouth gapes open and the object is swallowed.

Curious Roomba Python comes with a remote control that enables an internal light to be switched on, illuminating the contents of its elasticated stomach bag for easy identification of any misplaced items.

Being a snake means that Curious Roomba Python can slide under heavy pieces of furniture like sofas or pianos, and also climb stairs.

comes in a variety of lengths and girths

Can it be programmed to seek out and devour cats ?

How did I know you would like that possibility?

Roombas frequently need to back up or at least turn sharply. How would the snake configuration do this?
RayfordSteele, Jan 13 2019

//Brane Ray// Laughable. Your ire makes me stronger every day, as you grow weaker and swallow more bait. Soon you'll be performing imitations of Dick Whittington's cat on youtube, and crying for another tin of Whiskers.

//Roombas frequently need to back up// Just like a snake can retreat, so can Roomba Python.

Somewhere there is an optimization point between a hose with two mouths and something like a starfish with several tube tipped arms.

Starfish have only one mouth; they evert their stomachs to digest their prey.

A creature with multiple "necks" would resemble the Hydra of Greek legend <link>.

A pet hydra* would be pretty cool, even if it was only electromechanical.

*The legendary Greek monster, not the tiny aquatic creature.

//incorporate cutters// We're edging towards a benign, domestic shai-hulud, then. Or maybe the Hogwarts basilisk.

Just as long as it's not one of the "worms" from Tremors.
