Cuc-kootie
It's a tie with the internal workings of a coo-coo clock. | |
Smart necktie 98% of the time, the Cuc-koo Necktie (Cuc-kootie) is 2% novelty. Spot on the hour, a little bird emerges from within the necktie through a silk drape and performs an electronic "Coo-coo ... Coo-coo ... ".

So this thing "Coo-coo"s for 72 seconds? Every hour? Sounds horrible. |

|
I thought this idea was a specific type of cootie, as opposed to the general "you've got cooties" type of cootie. But since it isn't, I think the idea should be categorized under "torture device" in that it combines two forms of human bondage into a single hideous device. |

Sorry [Worldgineer], I thought 59/60 was 98. Fixed the title. Blame the marathon. |

The way I see novelty is, pay a lot for one use and then put it away never to be seen again. If you'd rather (I would), Punch and Judy Tie. For "those occasions" when a sound effect might not be welcomed or appropriate, like the funeral of a rival, how about the Cuckoo Belt Buckle? |

People might get the wrong idea. |

Oops. Did I say Cuckoo? I meant Jack-in-the-Box. |
